Recurring parts become declarative templates: “a flange, OD 100, bore 40, 12 thick, 6 bolt holes” instantiates the whole feature sequence. Slots derive from each other — a bolt-circle diameter follows the outer diameter — and constraints are checked before anything is cut, so an impossible combination is refused instead of built.

Design scope
It does not generate whole models from a text prompt, does not do topology-optimization “generative design”, and does not support other CAD systems — it is built for, and only for, native SolidWorks feature modeling on Windows.

Which SolidWorks versions are supported?
SolidWorks 2021 and later on Windows 10/11 (64-bit). SolidWorks 2021 is the fully verified baseline; verification across 2022–2025 is in progress.
Does my CAD geometry get uploaded to the cloud?
No. Geometry, part files and feature trees never leave your workstation. What is sent to the DynMech cloud is your command text and a short semantic description of the clicked face; the privacy policy spells out exactly what is processed and retained. Voice recognition can run fully local so audio never leaves your machine.
Is the generated model editable afterwards?
Yes — that is the core design goal. SolidPilot generates native SolidWorks features with meaningfully named dimensions anchored to reference edges, and every scenario is rebuild-verified: change a parameter and the model updates cleanly instead of breaking.
How is this different from text-to-CAD tools?
Text-to-CAD tools guess geometry from a prompt and output dumb solids. SolidPilot separates concerns: your mouse click supplies the geometric reference, the sentence supplies the operation, and the output is an editable feature tree — not a mesh or a dead solid.
Does it support Fusion 360, Inventor or Onshape?
No. SolidPilot AI is deliberately built for the SolidWorks ecosystem only, using its native add-in API and Hole Wizard.
How does the trial work?

What happens when the AI misunderstands me?
Every operation is atomic and undoable, and rebuild errors roll back automatically. When the AI is not confident, it shows what it understood before executing, or asks for missing parameters in a single batch panel. You can also say “undo the last step” or insert a step mid-recipe.
Are the catalog part suggestions ads? Can I turn them off?
They only appear when you model something the classifier confidently recognizes as one of 15 verified catalog categories — original designs are never interrupted. Every link comes from a hand-verified table, never generated by the model. You can dismiss one card, pause suggestions for 30 days, or turn them off permanently.
